Initiated as a masterplanning project for an Exhibition Centre on the outskirts of Agartala, Tripura, it challenged the team to embrace the heavily contoured terrain, gifted with natural water bodies. The resultant architecture was of four key buildings that included the Exhibition hall and Convention Centre as focal points with an Auditorium and Multifunctional halls. These built forms filtered down to the natural pond along which sat other ancillary structures like the Tripura Haat, food court, restaurant and amusement park. Guided by climatic and contextual sensitivity the buildings merged with the greenscape of the Fair Grounds for outdoor exhibition purposes, a key component of the master plan.
